The 2026 New Year’s card by Studio Abricot adopts the visual language of everyday supermarket systems. Familiar elements such as queue tickets, price labels, expiration dates, and grocery items are translated into a playful and unconventional greeting.
The card is produced in three versions. Each features two supermarket queue tickets on the front, referencing waiting, sequencing, and the passage of time. On the reverse, one of three motifs is depicted: an egg, plums, or a jelly cake—ordinary products that introduce small moments of choice and difference within a standardized framework.
The accompanying stamp set consists of six designs depicting common grocery items: butter, milk, tomato, fruit, oranges, and a cash register receipt. Together, they extend the supermarket narrative across multiple small formats, turning routine symbols of consumption into graphic markers of exchange and circulation.
The envelope completes the system with an orange price label and an “exp 2025” ticket, echoing the logic of expiration, turnover, and renewal. By recontextualizing supermarket codes, the 2026 edition reflects on value, time, and repetition—using the most simple aesthetics of the everyday to mark the transition into a new year.
